Franklin County residents had been warned about the imminent real estate tax increase since November finally came in the form of numbers Tuesday afternoon. County Administrator Richard Huff presented the board of supervisors with a proposed $126 million budget that featured an average 27 percent tax increase driven by the county’s recent reassessment.
